Lunchtime Theatre
Broad Horizons have a strong relationship with the Maddermarket Theatre in Norwich, where they have produced a number of lunchtime theatre shows.

Green Forms – April 2006

Picture Alan Bennett’s classic short play about two conservative woman office workers and a left-wing internal post man facing job cuts at work.

It takes only a moment to set up the relationship between the two roles, played with great skill by Jan Poynton and Judi Daykin….

Yardsale – December 2005

Picture Arnold Wesker’s darkly comic tale about American teacher Stephanie suddenly facing life alone when she is traded in for a younger model by her husband after 20 years of marriage.

Lunchtime theatre at it’s best….what matters are Stephanie’s reactions and Judi Daykin knows eactly how to convey them.

A Woman Alone – November 2002

Dario Fo and Franca Rama’s most famous one-woman play, about a wife locked in an apartment with her small baby and a relative encased in plaster casts following an accident. Superbly played by Sue MacMillan. Went on to be part of our “Two Woman’s Voices” tour.

A Lady of Letters – October 2002

Broad Horizon’s first ever production from Alan Bennett’s Talking Heads series. Who could believe that Miss Ruddock’s curtain twitching habits would get her into so much trouble?

Judi Daykin playing Miss Ruddock brings out the quirky humanity of a challenging role.
